I have been playing basketball since I was six years old. It really started in my fifth grade year when I began to aspire to play at the collegiate level. I know that playing in college, especially D1 is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it would be an opportunity that would change my life for the better.
I have strong ball handling skills, strong physical defense, love to break a press, a high basketball IQ, and the mental toughness that it takes to make a positive impact for my team. I work year round on my basketball skills by playing with my AAU team, Supreme Nation, and by also being in the gym four or more days out of the week. I participate in numerous sports at school including cross country, softball, basketball, and track. Currently my main focus is basketball and track. I played many positions in basketball such as point guard, shooting guard, or high post. I love an intense physical game, because I like to be pushed.
Leadership has always come naturally to me, and on my team, whether it be in high school or in AAU, I try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I strive to be one of the hardest working athletes out there. Some say I push myself to hard, but I do not see it that way. Not only do I work hard on the court, and on the track, but I also work hard in the classrooms. As of right now I would like to pursue a career in the medical field, but plans could easily change. I want to be able to find the right college match for me, with the highest level of competition possible. I hope to break records in my high school career, and to be one of the first female athletes from Paden High School to gain a collegiate scholarship for basketball. I want to make my parents and my community proud.
