I became interested in basketball when I was in third grade; I had started playing Sallisaw Youth League basketball and I really enjoyed it. My parents have influenced who I am because they have taught me to be respectful and to always give 110 percent whether I am on the court or in the classroom. Playing basketball has helped me learn that I’m very competitive, I will never give up, and that I will always push myself to become better. My academic goals for high school and college is to maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA. My grades are important to me which is why I try my hardest to learn in the classroom. To get where I am today I have had to overcome a broken ankle and a fractured cheekbone. This shows how much I love basketball and how much I will go through to continue playing the sport I love.
