I started playing sports when I was in kindergarten and ever since, my love for sports has just grown immensely. What I love about playing sports is the competition, how fun it is, the relationships you build, and how it makes you grow as a person overall. I've played multiple sports including soccer, softball, cross country, volleyball, track, and basketball. Even though every year I have placed in the top 10 at State in the 1500 m and 3000 m in Track, out of all sports my favorite is basketball. As a result, I have put in huge amounts of time and effort; many hours outside of practice and the regular season, attending a number of camps including PGC. As a result I have become an excellent shooting guard with strong ball handling skills, starting every game and rarely coming out. I have received All Conference Defensive Team the last two years because of my all-out effort and quickness on defense. I am also one of the shortest players on my team but am a leading rebounder, again due to my aggressive hustle. Out of all this my skill level has come to the point where I want to pursue basketball in college. I believe I could be an asset to a team, not just on the court but also a teammate and contributor to things that don't always show up on stats. I've been our team's captain for the last two years, and I was just complemented at a team camp in Spokane, Washington, by a college coach on how I interacted with my teammates. My goals for my last year of high school are to make First Team All-Conference and maintain my GPA above a 3.9 as I have the last three years while still being a 3-sport athlete. In college ,I would like to continue my academic efforts while pursuing radiography. I love this sport and its been a dream of mine to play at this next level, and I hope to find a program where I can contribute while achieving my career goals.
