Hi, my name is Brooklynn Summers, and sports—especially basketball—have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Being part of a team and working together with coaches and teammates is something I truly love. I’ve also grown to enjoy learning about the human body and staying healthy, which is why I’m excited to eventually pursue a career as a physical trainer or physical therapist.
I consider myself a positive and energetic person who always tries to lift others up. Whether it’s giving high fives, cheering loudly on the bench, or just being there when a teammate needs encouragement, I love supporting the people around me. I’m a natural leader and encourager, and I always look out for my teammates.
Outside of basketball and track, I enjoy staying fit with weightlifting and workouts, even during weekends and breaks. I also love singing, playing guitar, and spending time with my family and friends. Supporting my younger siblings at their sports events and being their biggest cheerleader is one of my favorite things to do. My faith is super important to me, and I’m proud to be a leader in my school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and to stay active in my church and youth group.
At 6 feet tall, I’ve learned to embrace my height and see it as an advantage, especially in sports. My family has always encouraged me to be confident in who I am, and I carry that confidence into everything I do. As the oldest sibling, I’ve had to be responsible, which helps me take my role seriously in both sports and school. I really love school—I hardly ever miss a day because I enjoy learning and being there with my classmates.
I’ve been told I’m coachable and hardworking, always looking for ways to improve. I believe my athletic skills, positive attitude, and leadership make me a strong candidate for your team. Thank you so much for considering me—I’d love the chance to bring my energy and dedication to your program!
Thank you!
Brooklynn
