I used to live in Portland, OR. I have played basketball my entire life with my dad, who has been an assistant coach at Cleveland HS in Portland, OR for 15+ years. He is now the Boys' head basketball coach at Monument HS in Monument, OR. I have been a starter my whole life with the same team for years. We went to state every year in Middle School. When I got to High School COVID was happening, and things got very difficult for me. I ended up with a foot and ankle injury before tryouts for my Freshman year, and they put me on JV2 but promised me I would move up after I healed. My mental state went down at this point and I struggled in all my classes, and never moved up because I had to leave. We left Cleveland High School when my family moved away to Monument, OR. Which is where I reside currently and play on their Varsity girl's team as the starting point guard. The Point Guard position is new to me as I was always interchangeable between a PF and a SG. I am taking this opportunity to learn new things and I have been taking summer classes and trying hard in school to prove myself and to prove that what I struggled with in the past due to COVID does not affect my future because I am going to fix my mistakes.
