In college I plan to study business or journalism. While playing basketball in college I will continue to develop my skill set & game IQ, push myself to perform at the top level of competition, and make strong teammate relationships by showing they can always count on me. I love basketball because of the pace and the constant action, it takes a lot of different skills to be successful, and there are always ways to get better as a player and as a team. As a player I bring leadership, encouragement, and non-stop hustle to the team. I have a strong skill set that allows me to play multiple positions. My main position is point guard, but have also played shooting guard, and power forward. This is because I can handle the ball, make strong passes, shoot from the outside, and drive. I am also a strong defensive player because I am very fast and good at transitioning on turnovers. I believe it is important to do always do my best. I am an Honor Roll student. I volunteer with the local Parks and Rec working with younger children who want to play basketball and flag football. My empathy and leadership skills has made me one of the kids' favorites. My favorite sport is basketball, but I am also a strong football player and was the first and only female to be named to our NFL flag football division hall of fame.
