I am now a senior and looking forward to what this coming year might hold. Why should a coach choose me? I am highly motivated, very coachable and working hard is my mantra. I have great court vision; although I don't play point. I can see where the best opportunities are on the floor and do my best to get the ball there for my team. I can hit a shot from just about anywhere and I try to get a lot of assists per game because I am a team player. Over the past 2 years I have been working hard on rebounding and blocks, which have improved in each game.
I fight game in and game out to be a deciding factor for my team in all games I play whether that be offense or defense; I pride myself in being the protector of the house. Through the last 2 years I have continued my role as team captain and will continue through my final year. I enjoy leading our team through wins but more importantly through losses. The reason I play basketball is because I truly love it.
I have a couple goals here. First, I'd like to attend a college that has a DPT/Physical Therapy program. I am truly passionate about learning more in this field and being able to help people, mainly other athletes, to hit their athletic performance goals or rehabilitate from injuries to get back to what they love. I have been so impacted by my trainers and coaches, I would be honored to affect people's lives in the same way. Secondly, I am looking forward to playing on a team that will use my skill sets and allow me to contribute and grow with the team. I am hoping to be awarded a scholarship (either athletic, academic or both) to attend this college so I can learn and play through a graduate degree.
