Hi my name is Armani Walker.I have been playing basketball since I was 7 years old.I am now 13 years old and have played up and down the East Coast from New Jersey Down to Georgia.I spent 3 years living down in Baltimore,Md. I played a lot of ball in Washington DC where I made my 1st All star game. The DMV basketball scene was great for my development.I played against some really good competition and learned a lot from some great coaches. My one coach Chanel Wright-Greene was McDonald’s All American, played for team USA, and is the University Of North Carolina’s(UNC) 8th all time leading scorer, and also played briefly with the Minnesota Lynx.A little over a year ago I moved back to hometown of New Castle Pa with my dad.Upon returning to New Castle I learned I was #20 in the National Youth All American report.I have since fell to #29 because of less exposure in my area.Last month in was invited to the 1st Pa Future Stars Showcase And i preformed very well competing against 7th and 8th graders.I was named top 10 and shorty after received my 1st letter from The University of Indiana Hoosiers.I play basketball because I love it!!! The reason is I’m working towards receiving a scholarship so I can go to school for free and get out of school without oweing student loans.
