I had had a college coach tell me (when I was a freshman playing in a big state play off game) that he knew I was a winner and would do whatever it took to make sure our team would win. That about sums up who I am and what I am out to accomplish on the court and off the court. I set goals and I see successes.
I try my best to excel at all things and I keep pushing myself and others around me to want more. If everyone gives their best then we can leave the court or the classroom feeling good about what we did.
I feel that I am different that other recruits because my brother plays for a division 1 school (St Francis University) and he has told me what to expect as far as the athletic conditioning and training in college sports. I have my own personal insider to know that what is coming will not be easy at all. There are long days ahead for me if I want to play college sports. That is okay because I am up for the challenge. It does not scare me. I actually cannot wait to get to the next level of academics and athletics. Working hard to keep improving is good but pushing the others around you to achieve the same idea is what will make a team good together. Holding each other accountable is a foundation for terrific teams. I can do this as long as I have the right coaches and team mates to push me and direct me.
Always be humble but celebrate the victories together.
