My name is Emily Anthony, and I am a Junior at West Middlesex HS in West Middlesex, PA. At West Middlesex, we play in PIAA Class 2A in District 10. I am 5'5," and I weigh 120 pounds. I have a 3.75 GPA as of the end of semester 1 of my junior year and am currently taking several college prep courses.
As a freshman, I started every game at point guard for a team that finished as state runner-up on PIAA Class 2A. I averaged 8.5 ppg and improved that number to 12.5 per game as a sophomore. I also hold the school record for steals in a season and look to set the record for assists this year.
I have been a pass-first point guard over the past 2 seasons as we had a center who is now playing at UMass. We fed her ALOT! Now our style has changed and we are a much younger team. I still play a pass-first style, but look for my chances to score a little bit more. I am enjoying being the leader of my team and especially helping the younger players get comfortable on the floor. I believe that my passion for defense and making the right decision sets me apart from other players.
In addition to my high school team, I play AAU basketball for Drill for Skill with Coaches RJ Brown and CEO/Coach John Miller. Coach Miller can be reached at 724-980-4182.
My team is West Middlesex High School. My coach, Mike Williams, can be reached at [email protected] or (724) 634-3030.
