Basketball has played an important role in my life since the 2nd grade. Over the years, as the level of play and competitiveness has increased, so has my love for the game. I currently play for La Salle Academy’s varsity team as well as the Ocean State Panthers AAU program. I am a very coachable player, I take all feedback given to me, and try my hardest to use it in a game or practice. To improve my game, I go 100% during every practice, ask for coaches’ opinions, and shoot in my driveway regularly. I am a team player and I enjoy making open plays for my teammates in a game. I am very unselfish with the ball because I believe that we win as a team not as individuals. Basketball has taught me the importance of quick-thinking, patience, and trust. Trust is a major part of the game, on both defense and offense. Being able to trust your teammates to be there to call out a screen, provide help defense, create open plays, and prevent turnovers is crucial. Academically, I am a good and conscientious student and I take honors classes. I pride myself for the time management skills that I have developed as a student athlete. My goal is to study and work in the medical field.
