My name is Destiny Hoover. I am the point guard for D.W. Daniel High School. I have been playing basketball since I was 5. I started playing basketball with my older siblings, so I played a lot above my age level. I started playing varsity basketball in the 7th grade. My team got to compete for the Upper State Championship my 7th and 9th grade year. I have had amazing peers and coaches help guide me along the way. Basketball has given me opportunities to travel and play with and against some very talented players.
I currently have a 3.8 GPA. My goal for college is to earn a degree in Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine. I would love to become an Athletic Trainer so I can assist athletes in building strength to prevent and to recover from injuries.
Outside of basketball, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I enjoy going to the movies, bowling, laser tag, and visiting new and old places. Although many times when I am not playing basketball, I often end up in a gym watching others play. I also help coach my sister's 6U team alongside my dad. Some of my favorite music is Hip Hop and R&B from the 90s and early 2000s. One of my favorite sitcoms is Martin. No matter how many times I watch it-it never gets old!
I cannot wait to talk to and meet my future coach/team! I am so excited to add to my basketball family while continuing my education!
