Sydney Hybertson '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sydney Hybertson, lots of people call me Syd.  I am currently a Junior at Harrisburg High School in South Dakota.  

Basketball is my passion and my ultimate goal is to play competitive basketball at a University where I can obtain a Pre-Med degree. My current plan is to be a Dermatologist or Anesthesiologist.  Playing for a program that stresses academics, where I can make life-long friends playing basketball, would be the dream opportunity! I am open to playing anywhere in the US!

I am a strong ambidextrous player that can shoot from every distance with my left and right hand as well as throw a bullet pass around any defense. With my confident ball handling, I am able to focus on seeing the floor and I am known for making the the right passes with top notch timing.  I love to make my team better by looking for the best shot on the floor.  I am a diverse guard who can easily break the press, knock down a long distance 3, or post-up my defender.  I play ball for one of the best High Schools in my state in the highest class and on the strongest AAU team in South Dakota. Facing top notch competition and playing with the best players in my state on a regular basis has helped me to become a better player!  I have been on Varsity since my Freshman year.  I had substantial minutes on the court as a Sophomore and contributed heavily to our team's success.  This year will be the best yet, as I compete as a Junior starter to take our team to the State Tournament for a 3rd year.  I would love the opportunity to prove that I can be a key player in your program!  Thank you for considering me in your 2022 recruiting class.  Syd
