Making the basketball team after a busy Volleyball and Color-guard season has been the major highlight for my high school career. Basketball has given me a vision to strive for the best and I have been able to do that on the court and off the court, by being an FFA Officer and Color-guard Captain. One of my main obstacles is my learning disability which has been a blessing is disguise. My learning disability has taught me how to think outside the box and in return has made me and others(teammates) successful. I feel I grown the most as a student-athlete my sophomore year when I was asked to play on all levels due to shortages in players. The experiences I have endured over the years has helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a small forward capable of playing at the college level.
Over the years I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership without a trophy. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a 3-sport athlete captain, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team and look forward to meeting you.
