I have dreamed about playing college basketball since I first touched a ball. Growing up in a very small town, and going to a small high school I never thought this dream could become a reality until my oldest sister received a basketball scholarship. I began to work harder than ever before both in the gym and in the classroom. My goals to playing collegiant basketball are simple: I want to continue to grow and learn as player and a person.
As I said, I live in a small town in the Texas panhandle. I have five brothers and sisters which makes eight in our household. I am used to a lot of noise and always having someone around. On the court, is "my place." It is where I get to be me, and not "a Watson" or "One of the twins." I have three younger siblings, a twin sister entering college, and one sister already in college that my parents are financially helping. We are used to working hard, we were made too.
Being part of a college basketball team will help with this next transition in my life. Not only will it help, but hopes of gaining a scholarship is essential for me to continue my education. I am active in nearly ever organization and activity that our school has to offer: one act play, science bowl, yearbook, theatre, and UIL are to name a few. I know no different than to be active. Not only do I play basketball, but I participate in track and cross country. I have made it to regionals in both every year of high school. I set personal goals, and I achieved them!
