Chineze Obeta '21 Recruiting Profile

When I first started playing basketball competitively, at the age of 12, I immediately  found a love for it. I had dreams of playing in college and perhaps the WNBA. My desire to play basketball at the higher level  has continued to strengthen. I want to be the first in my family to not just be known for their academic skills but to be also be a dominant athlete. I balance multiple AP classes while maintaining a 3.8 GPA, and serve as captain in all three of the sports I play. What separates me from others athletes is that I am coachable, dedicated to perfecting my skills, and maintain a growth mindset. When challenges arise, I think of them as opportunities to grow and get even better, which I know will make me an even greater player. Whenever I play, I put my all into what I do because I want to be successful and see that my hard work pays off.
