Goal: Obtain a Business degree while competing in Basketball at the highest level possible.
About Me:
Athletics: I've played many sports since I was 4 years old, but fell in love with the game of Basketball in the 4th grade. I recently completed my Junior season at La Porte HS (Texas) where I helped my team to the 3rd round of the Texas HS playoffs. I was named MVP for our District (18-5A) & First Team All-District. I've started every game at point guard, averaging almost 27 minutes both my Sophomore and Junior seasons. I led my team in minutes played, points per game, rebounds per game and steals per game. I just wrapped up my final AAU season, playing with Cy-Fair Premier 2024 for Coach Moses Ellis. I am back in the gym with my trainer to preparing for my final HS season at La Porte. I'm currently competing in two different Fall leagues with my HS teammates.
I also played softball my Freshman (JV-ShortStop) and Sophomore season (Varsity-2nd Base). I decided to not play my Junior season so I could focus completely on my grades and basketball. This really helped since I was taking college classes at a local junior college and taking summer classes, as well.
Academics: I love to compete on the court, but also in the classroom. I have a 5.1 GPA and I am ranked # 27 of 451 (top 6%). My Freshman year, I made all A's and two B's. I finished the first semester of my Sophomore year with straight A's. My high school and local junior college offers an accelerated program, which will allow me the opportunity to earn an Associate's degree when I graduate HS in 2024. I have taken classes both summers to stay on track to graduate high school with my Associate's degree. This is a goal I want to achieve for many reasons. Most of all, I know it will help prepare me for the demands of life as a college athlete. I feel I am mature enough to handle the heavy workload and balance my time so I can excel both on and off the court.
Playing college basketball while maintaining my academics is something I'm preparing myself for now. I feel I'm more mature than the majority of my friends and peers in my class. My parents encourage me to do my best at everything I take on. Although I don't want to disappoint them, I'm my biggest critic. At this point in my life, I feel I'm on track and where I need to be and would love an opportunity to play basketball in college.
