I found interest in basketball when I was a freshman in high school. My high school was a 6A public school, they had three different basketball teams, B team being the lowest. That was the team I started on, that season, I became so motivated to better myself I ended up getting moved up all the way to varsity by my sophomore year.
I love basketball because the options on what you can do with the sport seem limitless, individually and as a team. I have learned a lot about myself since I've been playing basketball. For example, your mindset determines how you practice and how you play. Academically, I plan on keeping straight A's and high B's as I have been doing for the rest of my high school years. I'm always open to learning new techniques and skills from anyone who wants to share. I am coachable and respectful, and I am only focused on succeeding academically and athletically.
