At a young age coming from a very athletic family, basketball became an important, exciting part of my life. I am a two sport varsity athlete freshman year and a 3 sport varsity athlete sophomore year. Sports have taught me; goal setting, teamwork, and commitment. I am looking for a college that best fits me academically and athIetically. I have experienced being the youngest of mostly seniors on a Varsity level as the only sophomore. Although I was the teams youngest player, I still managed to contribute to the teams success. I’m not selfish on the court, I’m a passive player, but still shoot if I feel good about the shot. I’m the type of player that when your tied with 5 seconds left, I want to be the one on the free throw line.
Playing basketball has aloud me to establish life-long friendships and it is the source of my passionate, never giving up attitude. More importantly, it made me understand that having passion is essential to true happiness. And although, it makes my skin all bruised and ugly, I’m only proud of my scars and bruises. What was once pain, now serves as a reminder of hardwork.
