Hello my name is Meaghan Wendling and I am part of the class of 2022. I have been playing sports since I was 5 years old and I have always enjoyed the competitive aspect. I've played several different sports throughout my life including volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, field hockey, and track and field. Basketball by far has always been my favorite. I started playing AAU when I was in second grade and continued to play every year up until now. Not only am I excited to potentially further my basketball career in college, but I am excited to continue my academic studies. I am interested in majoring in political science and my goal is to go to law school after college. All throughout my life I have played multiple sports at once so I believe I am well-equipped to be able to balance practices and games with my studies and maintain my academics.
My family is most important to me and I value relationships. I have always enjoyed basketball because of the sense of family and community. Because of this I am a good leader on and off the court. I always work to push my teammates to work as hard as they can in practice and celebrate their accomplishments. Beyond skill level I know to make a great player it involves willingness to listen, hard work, dedication and effort.
I have played basketball my entire life and I would love to continue competing at the collegiate level.
