Takeira Ramey '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

   My name is Takeira Ramey C/O 2024.  Playing sports and in particular basketball has had an significant impact in my life.  With, the loss of one of my older brothers a few years back at age 22, and  my other brother playing college basketball and overseas basketball;  has really fueled my desire to play this sport at the highest level I can achieve.  Those events have really shaped who I am today as a person as I grow older.  Swimming and volleyball are some of the sports I have competed in, but I became highly interested in basketball watching my brothers play growing up. Education is very important to me, maintaining a high GPA through high school,  college and eventually to graduate school is something I am striving to accomplish, as both my parents have Master degrees.  

I am still growing as a student athlete and playing basketball is consistently teaching me valuable lessons in being a point/shooting guard for any program that I may fit. Being coachable, making sacrifices,  good work ethics , and being committed individually and as a team to getting better is something that goes along with being a successful team.  Continually, putting in the required work to be successful academically and athletically let's me know I can compete at a higher level and be a positive impact for your program.
