I want to play collegiate sports because I want to be part of a team beyond the high school level with teammates that have similar goals and talents. My team and coaches should push me to play my best while striving to win. It is also important for me to get an education in agriculture and be challenged academically. I am really competitive and will work hard to be a threat on the court and a valuable teammate. During high school, along with playing sports, I have been involved in various clubs as well as maintaining a full, challenging academic schedule. For the last two years I have been my FFA Chapter President and the years before that I was secretary and reporter. In FFA I compete in multiple competitions throughout the year; I raise pigs that I will show anywhere between 3-5 shows a year, and I was awarded the Washington State Degree for Swine Entrepreneurship. This year I will also be an executive officer in the ASB (Association of Student Body) and represent all students as part of the student government.
