My sophomore year of high school my varsity team and I were blessed to get the opportunity to play at state with the best teams in the 2B league. I learned an immense amount from this experience, the top contributor being, how to stay calm in stressful situations. I took leadership with this on my team and got my teammates in the mindset we needed. The excitement I felt walking onto that court is a feeling I will never forget. My team and I placed 3rd and I was extremely happy with our hard work of the season paying off along with me being awarded MVP of the game.
I am a very driven person and always give 110% effort on the court and in the classroom. I am known for being the "hype person" on every team because I will always bring energy and a positive attitude uplifting my peers, teammates, and myself. What sets me apart as an athlete is my defense; I work very hard on both ends of the court. Academically I do good in school and push myself to be the best and get the best grades possible. My goals for college is to get the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love out of high school while also studying marketing.
