AMAYA MARTIN '20 Recruiting Profile

My family has always been a key part of me playing sports.  My parents have introduced me to the game of basketball six years ago, and have loved the game ever since. My academic goals for high school is to graduate with a strong GPA and attend a college that has an outstanding academic program along with a phenomenal athletic program. 

As a younger child, I always moved around as a kid and it was very difficult to find a hobby that interest me as well as help me interact with others. Playing sports gave me the opportunity to not only interact with fellow athletes but play the game I love with players who love the game as well. Basketball has taught me to be a better person on and off the court.  Also, I learned the value of teamwork, dedication, and grit.  As a 6-year starter, and 3-year captain, I know what it takes to play an important role on your team.
