I am an incredibly hard-working 6’0” wing/forward with the ability to bring the ball up the floor, get to the hoop or knock down a three. I am a strong rebounder, an excellent passer and have a high basketball IQ.
Below is an Elite is Earned tweet (sent out during the May 18-19th Pacific Spring Showcase – College Evaluation tournament in Auburn, WA) highlighting my all-around play:

"Bucky's Blue forward McKenna Dorscht (2021, Seattle Prep) blocked a shot, filled the lane, then knocked down a 3 in transition. She had a strong first half!"

My passion for basketball continues to grow (strong college aspirations) and began back in second grade. I have been playing on select (AAU) teams since fourth grade and am currently looked at as a team leader on both my AAU and High School (Seattle Preparatory) teams.
This past year, I played a very impactful role on the Seattle Prep HS basketball team. We were ranked in the top 10 (3A Division) all season and qualified for the WA State Championship tournament (final 12 teams in 3A division). Although disappointing that we lost in the first round, the taste of getting to “state” has driven my desire to work harder to improve my skills and increase my contributions next season.
My college basketball interests include getting a great education and being a part of a basketball program that gives me the opportunity to improve my skills as a student-athlete. I am seeking a well-rounded academic and athletic environment in which I can excel as a student-athlete for the next four years. I plan to find a school and program in which I can share my skills and abilities, as well as grow as both a player and person.
This Summer (2019), I will be working on fine tuning my shooting, ballhandling and overall game. I will be playing for my High School team in June (3 local tournaments + Team Camp at Gonzaga University) and for a Seattle area AAU team (Northwest Basketball Academy) playing against high level competition in NCAA viewing tournaments in Chicago and California.
· July 10-12: Nike Tournament of Champions – Chicago, IL (McCormick Place)
· July 23-26: End of Trail Summer Swoosh - Orange County, CA (Ladera Sports Center)
I am confident that my work ethic, commitment to improve and overall skill set will afford me the opportunity to play college basketball. I hope to bring my basketball skill set and academic prowess to your program.
