Irina Margineanu '28 Recruiting Profile

 My name is Irina, and I’m a 14 year old point guard playing varsity as a freshman and on my national team. I’m known for having great vision on the court and strong skills with the ball, which every coach I’ve played with has highlighted. 

I am an international student with big dreams for college both in sports and in the classroom. My goal is to be a strong part of a team that works together and supports each other. I want to grow as an athlete, push my limits, and help my team succeed.

What makes me a great candidate is my dedication. Everyone who knows me says I am hardworking. I always give my best, whether it’s at practice, during games, or in school. I am not afraid to push through challenges and learn from mistakes. I believe that being part of a team is about more than just winning, it’s about developing each other and never giving up.

 What makes me different is my positive attitude, background, and youth. As an international student, I bring unique experiences and a fresh perspective. I’m excited to share this with my teammates and learn from them as well. Being young and eager to learn, I’m ready to give my best to a team that values hard work, growth, and team spirit.
