Alyssa Gordon '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alyssa Gordon and I'm a 5'5" shooting guard.  I love Basketball and cound not imagine not playing the game.  My coaches often compliment me on my leadership and ability to lead by example.  I am a very determined and articulate player, but also am extremely coachable.  I feel it is very important for me to get my teammates involved and to make sure everyone gets touches.  I am not set on any certain division or school, I am just looking for a school that fits my educational needs and thinks I could compliment their team well.  As of now I am debating on a psychology major or an art education major.  As a junior I have a 3.6 GPA and am a  member of the National Honors Society, Student Council, Class Vice President, Mentor Program, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, O-W Club, 4-H, and Future Business Leaders of America.  As an athlete I play volleyball, Basketball and softball.  I have recieved Honorable Metion All-Conference both my sophomore and junior year in volleyabll as an outside hitter, also All Conference second team in softball my junior year.    My basketball abilities have earned me 2nd team All-Conference my sophomore year, and 1st team my junior year.  Also my junior year I received Honorable Metion All-State and the Captain/MVP award.  Playing basketball as a freshman I would definitely make an imact and would hope to play as much as possible.  I really would like to be a player you can trust with the ball and a player who accents the team in a positive manner.  I am interested in all schools as of now for I am not quite sure what I want yet, except that I want to play basketball at a higher level.  Thank you for looking at my profile and I look forward to hearing from you.
