Volleyball connects individual efforts to achieve success. The sport connects my friendships, faith and school life. Volleyball challenges mental and physical skills through a constantly changing game. The sport challenges me to push harder as an athlete. Volleyball motivates a consistent mindset on and off the court. The sport motivates me to push through homework to be ready to focus on playing the game. For these reasons, volleyball is the sport that I love. While playing collegiate volleyball is a goal of mine, I am focused on being the best player I can be.
I am competitive on the court, in the sand, and in the classroom. My coaches have always been vocal to me about how I can encourage the team in practice and competition with my competitive mindset. Being a leader with words and actions on an indoor court made playing doubles come like second nature. I love the strategy that is involved in beach volleyball. In a game, strategy is the difference between who’s more physical and who’s better at executing. Although I have had tremendous support from my family, my goals for education are self-driven. I received Superior Honor roll every semester of high school and have consequently lettered in academics freshman and sophomore year. During the season of 2019, I also was awarded Academic All State First Team.
