My coaches call me a Golden Retriever and it's not just because of the blonde hair. They call me a Golden Retriever because I refuse to let a ball hit the ground without doing everything in my power to get it. I will do amazing acrobatic feats to keep a ball in play. So amazing that I am often surprised at what I have done. (LOL) This is what makes me a great defender, getting the balls that look impossible. Also, like a Golden Retriever, I can do other tricks. This is what makes me a good split blocker. Combined with my acrobatics, I can pop right back up and hit the ball down the line or to a corner. It makes me a versatile partner able to work with people of all skill sets. In addition, Golden Retrievers are some of the happiest animals on earth. I seem to share this quality as well. My teammates and coaches say I am always encouraging and supportive and make stressful situations fun. When you love what you do, it comes easily. Finally, I think my coaches call me a Golden Retriever because I am loyal. When I make a commitment I see it through to the best of my ability. I will go to the ends of the earth to make my coaches and my team proud of me.
