2018 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Since I was a little girl, I wanted to follow in both my parents footsteps and play college sports. I am fortunate that I have their athletic abilities to put me in the position to make my dream come true. Although I played different sports growing up, such as basketball, I found my passion in beach volleyball. In Missouri it’s more difficult to play all year so I play indoor volleyball to continue developing my volleyball skills. This year I lead my high school team to the first state quarterfinal appearance in 20 years. I am also proud to have reached my 1000 kill milestone this past season.
As a beach volleyball player I believe my court awareness and intelligence in the game gives me the ability to place the ball and make shots. I am also a dual threat payer that can block and play defense. My competitive drive takes all of these skills to the next level - I hate to lose!
All of these combined will make me a good competitor at the college level in beach volleyball. I love and want to be pushed out of my comfort zone to learn new skills and tools on the court and I strive to always challenge myself to get better in the sand, in the classroom and as a teammate and want to share my passion and competitive drive with my college team.
