Teagan VanderMey '22 Recruiting Profile

My passion for Beach Volleyball started when I was 11 and I have been playing ever since.  I am currently playing on a crossover club team that is competing in both beach and indoor tournaments and train for both. I am fortunate enough to have a sand court in my backyard and train, weather-permitting, as much as I can. I have been the setter on my Varsity High School team since mid-way through my freshmen year. Albuquerque High is a 5A school, which is the largest division of HS VB in NM. I was given the Bulldog award as a Sophomore, which is an accolade given by the coaches to the player that they feel exhibits outstanding character, leadership and work ethic. I am very scholarly and have maintained a 4.0 GPA or above my entire academic career and plan to continue on this path until graduation. Also, my parents have both coached VB for 25-30 years, my mom was an Assistant Coach for The University of New Mexico in the early 2000's. Thanks for your time and consideration.
