My name is Katie Caramanica and I am a junior at Cy-Fair high school in Cypress, TX. I play at Third Coast Juniors coached by Cameron Sitler. I have been privately coached by Riley Salmon, an Olympic gold medalist and owner of Elite Volleyball Services. I have also attended college prep skills training for the past year. I have been to USAV nationals both in 2019 and 2020 and progressed to gold bracket playoffs. I have earned a bid for AVP East Coast Championships in Clearwater Beach, FL. I have 5 years of indoor club experience with my most recent experience being at TAV Houston. I played as outside hitter and as a defensive specialist. In 2019, I transferred exclusively to beach volleyball.
Beach volleyball is my passion and I look forward to playing it in college. It combines the two things that I love, being outdoors and playing volleyball. I like the structure and routine of competition season where I can feel myself getting better at every tournament. I know that my training schedule keeps me on track with school because I must fit in both schoolwork and beach volleyball practice almost every day. I know playing in college will keep me focused on what is important.
