My name is Kamaile Dickson, I am currently a Junior from Washington State. I have played indoor volleyball for 5 years and played beach for 3. As the years have passed, I’ve become more passionate about beach volleyball and I have evolved into a more intense competitor and overall better teammate. I have a very teachable spirit and strive to push myself in all aspects of my life. Prior to volleyball, I played select softball for 5 seasons primarily as a pitcher before finding my passion for volleyball. Since my first season, I knew I wanted to play volleyball at the collegiate level and I believe the opportunity to do so would allow me to continue to grow and develop as both an athlete and as a person.
I am looking to challenge myself academically as well as compete at a high level athletically. As a junior this year, I am participating in the running start program through my high school. This gives me the opportunity to take college classes at Edmonds Community College to fulfill my high school graduation requirements as well as the credit requirement for my AA degree. I am on track to graduate with my high school degree as well as my AA degree by June 2020. I push myself to study hard and maintain a 3.8 GPA and make both high school and college honor roll while playing on 2 separate club teams, indoor and beach. Outside of the classroom and off the court I spend much of my time babysitting and volunteering for senior services.
I know my love for both indoor and outdoor volleyball will continue for the rest of my life. Thank you for your time. View my court profile: https://recruit-match.ncsasports.org/clientrms/athletes/4265316
