Ella Wimmer '23 Recruiting Profile

My character has developed through living and working at a summer camp where I have had the opportunity to serve and help children. Since I started playing volleyball in 5th grade, I cannot go a single day without picking up a volleyball. I was an all around outside hitter and led my 4A JV team in kills and an 18-0 season in 2019 and started on varsity my sophomore year in 2020. My 16U  indoor club team qualified for Open Nationals. I was captain of the varsity as a junior for the 2021 season and we won 20 games.  This Fall I finally made the decision to fully jump from indoor to beach. I am constantly working to improve and that means analyzing my film after matches and getting feedback from my coaches. I'm very focused on improving my skills and technique. I am so fortunate to now play for one of the highest level volleyball clubs in the country where most of my team mates have already committed. We have excellent coaches- most of whom  have played at the collegiate or pro level. I would describe my personality as driven and intense yet always with a smile on my face. I mean how can you not smile playing beach? My coaches will say that I am a hard working and competitive player who makes all my teammates better.
