I love all sports, and being a student-athlete. My family has always been very active in sports and outdoor activities. From a young age I swam, danced, hiked and tried out all types of team sports. I played soccer for a number of years, but it became apparent early on that I was going to be tall so I began to focus my team sports on basketball and volleyball, while continuing to swim and hike. Around 6th grade, I fell in love with volleyball. I love the team and technical aspects, pace of the sport, and the finesse it requires to be competitive in volleyball. Over the past three summers, I found I have a passion for beach volleyball as well, which has greatly helped me in my serve-receive/passing part of the sport.
My academic goals in high school are to focus on science while making sure I am academically prepared to attend a 4-year College. From a young age, my family has helped me to enjoy being outside and has instilled a love of nature.
This is currently, my fifth year of club volleyball and I was on varsity volleyball at Issaquah High School this year. My team placed first in regular season league play and went to state. I received honorable mention as a middle for KingCo and my team voted me MVP. I am currently playing varsity/jv basketball at my high school. I play beach volleyball as much as I can in the spring and summer. I played club basketball for three years and participated in three sports during each of my three years of middle school. I the award for Female Athlete of the Year at my 8th Grade Graduation.
