Presley McCaskill '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my Name is Presley McCaskill and I have been playing volleyball since age 11.  I am a 5'8" Middle/Right/Out side Hitter from Ridgefield WA.  I started playing volleyball at age 11 and have enjoyed the game every since.  Just this last winter, I made a bold move to pursue beach volleyball full-time.  Making this decision was very hard for me considering the four hour commute round trip, leaving my teammates who Ive been with for almost five years, and the fear of the narrow focus and how that would affect my indoor game during the High School season. But the pull was far greater than the fear.  I am very thankful to my parents who believe enough in me to help me pursue the game I would  someday like to play in college.  So far, my experience has been great!  I cant deny that it hasn’t had its set backs but i am growing as a player, and getting to know some amazing girls and coaches.   

In addition, my grades are very important to me, currently I maintain a 3.6+ GPA . Someday, I hope to enter the medical field and become a pediatric cardiologist.    In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family - especially my sister when she is home from school,  helping others, and spending time with my friends,  

One thing I have learned over the course of my volleyball experience and what makes me a good candidate is my level of commitment - what you give is as much as you get  This mindset has allowed me to focus on my mental toughness, and many areas of growth.  This not only makes me coachable, but it makes me a team player and it allows me to look at the positive in every situation.
