Emi Machida '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Emi Machida, and I am a diver from Trojan Dive Club. I started diving in 2nd grade, at Rose Bowl Aquatics. A year before I started diving, I started to do gymnastics.  Since I enjoyed doing both sports, I continued practicing both sports for about 6 years. Sometimes, I had diving practice, and right after I had to go to gymnastics practice until 9 pm. I loved both sports from the bottom of my heart, so even though it was hard on my body, I kept pushing through. When I was in about 6th grade, I switched over to diving due to several injuries. 

In college, I hope to keep adding new skills to my lists and have good relationships with my coaches and teammates.  I also hope to do well academically, so I can pursue my future goals. I would love to go to a college that allows me to grow as a person and an athlete.
