Carlie Rose '24 Recruiting Profile

        This is my third year diving for Los Osos High School’s Varsity team and for Claremont Pomona Dive Club. Prior to “jumping” into the sport of diving,  I was a competitive gymnast for 9 years.  I recently retired from gymnastics after my gym closed during the pandemic, and I took this as an opportunity to pursue other passions. I was happy to discover that diving is a sport that combines my love of gymnastics and swimming. I have been so incredibly fortunate to have found such supportive coaches and teammates during my transition from gymnastics to springboard and platform diving. Learning how to land onto my hands and hurdling on the springboard has been a fun and challenging feat. It has also been such a learning experience competing on the JO level through USA Diving and recently competing in the AAU Nationals. I am excited for my future and driven to pursue diving while attending college.

        While diving is my passion, I am also a conscientious student, tackling honors and AP classes. When I am not studying or diving, I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with friends, my dogs and my family. I also enjoy watching episodes of Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Magnum PI, and anything from the Star Wars and Marvel Universe.
