Aspen Warnygora '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Aspen Warnygora and I am a junior at Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. In college, I am hoping to dive competitively while pursuing a major in Biology. I competed club gymnastics for ten years prior to beginning diving. I have participated on my high school swim and dive team for the past three seasons. This season, I was captain. I have been a three year varsity letter winner. I have qualified for state the past two seasons. This season, I placed second at the Front Range Conference Meet and qualified for state finals. I was named to the All-Conference team. The Girls Fossil Ridge Swim and Dive team has an impressive winning record. As a team, we have won conference title for 10 seasons in a row. During my freshman year, the team won the Colorado State Title , and was named the national team of the year by SwimSwam. My Sophomore year, FRHS, was runner up at the 5A state meet. This year, FRHS swim and dive placed 4th at the state meet. 

I have participated on a club diving team for the past 3 years. In 2019, I placed 17th at USA Diving Regionals. I qualified and competed at AAU nationals. I plan to continue to compete USA and AAU diving this spring in both 1M (JO)and 3M (JO) with my club team Altitude Diving.  I work well under pressure and can perform very well in high stress situations. I am a competitive one meter diver and three meter diver. I am a very persistent athlete and work very hard to achieve my goals. I am a very strong student with good grades. I am a member of the National Honor Society, English National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (National Math Honor Society).  I also work part-time for the City of Fort Collins as a swim lesson instructor. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, biking, and reading.
