I have been a student athlete since I was 8 yrs. old. I have always strived to do my best academically and athletically. I started my dive career with the world record holder for the highest dive, Don Colombo. Once he retired, I was privileged to join the Fort Lauderdale Hall of Fame Diving Team and was then coached by Dave Burgering and Steven LoBue who holds a silver and gold medal from the 2017 and 2019 World Aquatics Championships. The Fort Lauderdale dive team became part of my family for almost 6 years. Unfortunately, our time together ended when the remolding of the Hall of Fame pool began. I was then asked to join the Coral Springs Team in which I am currently coached by Michelle Sandelin who competed at the US Olympics in Sydney in 2000 and Matt Vieke. I have had the privilege to have these amazing coaches by my side for almost 4 years now. They have become not only a part of my family but a team that pushes me to always try something new, whether I fail at first, they influence me to never give up and always try harder.
Finally, my goal is to find a team that not only pushes me to be my best but also encourages me to be just as successful in school as I am on the boards. My academics are just as important to me as diving. Thus far, I have been able to successfully take all honors and AP classes while training 5-6 times a week. I not only know how to manage my time efficiently but I also know the importance of balance between working hard and spending quality time with my family and friends. My goal is to find a program that not only gives me the sense of support but one that allows for positive growth and achievement for the entire team. I would like to also find a school that not only meets my team goals but also challenges me academically.
