Melina DeGennaro '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Melina DeGennaro. I am a former gymnast who competed over the last 11 years. I was home schooled for 5 years for the purpose of training more hours during the day. In 2018, I was Top 100 for the Tops Program out of 4,000 girls in the Nation. In 2019, I was in the top 300 however, my season ended two weeks before Nationals with a foot injury. I ended my gymnastics career as a Level 9 gymnast summer of 2023.   I credit my gymnastics background to helping me accelerate with my diving career.

I am currently a Freshman at Jupiter High School.  This is my first year diving and I am now heading to states this week.  I hope to continue my dive career throughout high school and then in college.  I am hard working not just with sports but academically.  At school I am a part of the Jupiter High School  Environmental Academy.
