I have always had a tremendous drive in to do great things in life. Competitive sports have kept me grounded, given me purpose, and enabled me to prosper in things other than athletics. I was a gymnast for most of my life; I skipped three levels and was training level 9 until I suffered from a pedicle fracture in my back. This forced me to stop competitive gymnastics when I was 14. Once I began my high school journey at West Orange, I played around with a few different sports but never found anything that made me compassionate and driven like gymnastics did. It was only until I started diving that the same fire inside me came back. I have only been diving for a couple months, but I have fallen in love with the sport and have been excelling rapidly in both skills and degree of difficulty. I practice as much as possible and would probably spend all day training if I could. Both inside and outside the diving facility I never give anything less than 110%. Although I am a senior, my collegiate goals, in addition to advancing my studies, are to dive competitively at the college level. I am an extremely competitive athlete, but I am also a huge team player and always step up to be a leader and encourage my teammates. When I am determined about something, I will give everything I have to reach my goal. That mindset has enabled me to achieve many things during my gymnastics career and I know it will do the same in my diving career. I am a very coachable athlete, and I prioritize my family, school, and diving over everything. I would be absolutely honored to grow as a person, student, and athlete at a highly competitive college.
