2022 SpotlightI have been diving for 8 years and have been at a National level since I started competing in 2017. When I was 7, I was doing other sports, namely swimming and gymnastics, and I wanted to try something new. I would often watch the divers when I was at the pool, and thought it could be a great sport for me to try, which quickly turned into my passion.
I am a very dedicated, committed and focused athlete. I bring a lot of important elements to a team such as motivating and supporting my teammates, and being cooperative and communicative with my coaches and trainers. I love diving and want to continue to dive at a high level throughout University, while continuing to improve my skills and have the opportunity to be coached by some of the best coaches. I find diving fun, challenging, and it has made me very resilient while pushing me to be my best, develop personally and athletically, and always continue to learn. Another aspect I love about diving is competition, where I get to push myself in a high pressure setting and learn from those experiences. I am a competitive athlete and I love competition environments and persevering through challenges. I also love being a part of a team, where I can provide my teammates support and encouragement when they need it.
On the academic side, I am a very devoted and organized student. With my heavy diving schedule and heavy school load, I have learned how to manage my time effectively between school work and training, which has led to me being very good with time-management and organization. I am very dedicated and focused on ensuring my school work remains my top priority. In the future, I would like to go into medicine and bring all of the skills I have developed to University, Med School and every aspect of my future.
I am different from other recruits because of my dedication, commitment, focus and organization to my diving and school work, along with being motivating, supportive and cooperative with my teammates and coaches.
