Hello! My name is Avery. I have been diving since the summer of 6th grade. I have been going to practices ever since then, attending camps and seeking clubs that are going to improve my performance while teaching me different techniques and skills. My academic goals are to succeed and learn all I can through higher education. I have always been a good student and prioritize school, so I am looking for a program that will allow me to continue to do that while also excelling in diving! I want to major in liberal arts or a pre-law program with a minor in English literature. Then, go on to a law school to become a general/criminal lawyer. A unique trait that I have is being driven to succeed without having to sacrifice being a good person. (I have now since learned that is not a common trait) Competing against teammates can be difficult, but I have found that it is a great way to push myself and my team. My coaches have presented me as a leader and put me in positions to help others be successful, whether its coaching my school's middle school team or tutoring my teammates to help get them eligible to compete. Going into my senior year I am hoping to achieve great things for my team and for myself!
