Although, I have only been diving for 3 years, I fell in love with it from the first jump in the water. I was previously a high level competitive gymnast for 12 years. Gymnastics gave me a very strong work ethic and taught me how to work as a team. The girls I compete against in my division for diving are all very close. We all dive together in the off season as a team, and we all root for each other as teammates. I went to the University of Indiana in Bloomington, 2 years ago for a 2 week dive camp. There I learned 3M dives and 5M platform dives. Unfortunately, there are not many places to go where there is a 3m and 5m in Michigan. Last summer I attended Ripfest Dive camp for 2 weeks, I worked on upgrades on 1M and 3M, platform and spend half the day in their great dryland facility working on form. Currently my GPA is a 2.7/4.0 and I am focusing on increasing my GPA by attending after school tutoring.
I would love to dive in college, I miss it terribly in the off season. I am a very dedicated team player with a very positive attitude, and willing to learn new skills.
Thank you for your time,
Maddie Prusinowski
