Abigail Dumond '25 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to find a college that is a good fit for me, and will bring me success in diving and academics. I have many years of diving experience under my belt; I have been diving since I was ten years old. I have also attended high level competitions such as USA Diving Junior Nationals, AAU Summer Nationals, AAU Red White and Blue Nationals, and the MHSAA State Diving Championships. In diving, I enjoy supporting my other team members and working with the younger divers. I have been put in the position of team captain on my club team, and also have experience in being a manager for my high school's boys diving team. Academically I am a strong student, and am willing to work hard to get good grades. School has always been a strong suit of mine, and I plan to keep up the good work in my college academics. An academic goal of mine is to graduate with a major in music education, and work my way up into becoming a high school band director. I have a dream of inspiring students to embrace their love for music and the arts just as I was by my high school band director. Marching band has always been a safe place and a passion of mine, and I want to continue bringing that experience to the students of tomorrow.
