I have been a competitive gymnast since I was five years old and hold 7 individual state champion titles. In my sophomore year of high school, I began diving to spend more time with people on my high school campus during the Pandemic. I immediately fell in love with the sport. What I loved so much about diving and being on my school's swim and dive team was that it gave me a way to contribute to my school community while providing new ways to grow as an athlete. When I began thinking about college diving, I approached the topic as way to have a sense of community in college and build lasting relationships with people on campus while pursuing my lifelong love of competitive sports. I want to continue to grow and improve as a diver throughout college and to focus on improving myself. Student athletes are driven and hardworking, and I want to have a way to transition from high school to college surrounded by people with the same drive and approach to learning and athletics that I have. With this goal in mind, I recently made the difficult decision to retire from competitive gymnastics so that I can train five days a week with Clayton Diving Alliance.
