Madelyn Van Bramer '22 Recruiting Profile

Diving makes me happier than anything else I have ever done.  I took seven years of ballet which helped with flexibility and gracefulness.  I also competed on neighborhood swim teams which improved my swimming skills and increased my love of water.    Diving is the rational conclusion of these sports.   My swim coach suggested that I try out for the team and I was asked to join the Varsity Diving Team in the 7th grade.  I have been diving ever since and this year was elected team captain.  I have been working on advancing my diving through clubs to prepare for college 3 meter diving.  My goal is to major in Early Childhood Education and dive on a college team.   I love working with children and hope to be a diving coach for a middle or high school some day as well as a Physical Education Teacher. I am currently a summer camp counselor for young children and love keeping them busy and active!  I have solid grades from Fayetteville-Manlius High School District which ranks 23rd in New York State and 111th in the country.   I am enthusiastic and passionate about diving and I always have a positive outlook and sunny disposition.  I look forward to contributing my team spirit and hard work ethic to a college team.
