My name is Keira Porter and I have been diving for two years, following seven years of competitive gymnastics where I trained up to level 9. After struggling with a foot injury for over a year, I decided to leave gymnastics in order to fully heal. When I started diving the following year, I was excited to find my competitive spark again. The skills, strength, and determination I developed in gymnastics have helped me transition to diving. Although I am relatively new to diving, I have progressed quickly and have developed a full list on 1m, 3m, and platform. I am looking forward to adding new dives and improving upon the ones I have. I want to dive in college so that I can continue to improve in the sport that I love. In a college team, I would love to see a strong sense of community along with the drive to perform at a high level. For a coach I am seeking someone who cares about their athletes in and out of the pool and who wants to see them reach their full potential. In school, my favorite subject is biology, and I am looking for a college with a strong science program. Outside of diving I have many creative interests, including painting, drawing, crocheting, and playing guitar and ukulele.
