Having competed for only one year (began training July 2019), I enjoyed a very successful junior season and have fully committed myself to pursuing a collegiate diving career. Competing in All-Star Competitive Cheer on a national basis for 8 years prior, I suffered an ACL injury in 2018. After 10 months of rehab, and fully recovered, I returned to win the Southwestern Conference tumbling championship. I cheered one additional year before making the decision to try diving. Completely new to springboard, I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to begin training under a Division I coach, Rich Karban, just months before the beginning of the high school season, and I fell in love with the sport of diving. In my first season, I won the Southwestern Conference diving championship and just missed qualifying for the state meet by 1.3. Professional instruction, years invested in building core strength for high level tumbling, unmatched work ethic, and a sincere competitive drive have been factors leading to meaningful success within months of entering the pool. Although unable to continue working / competing March through June due to COVID restrictions, I have now resumed training and my progress has continued from where it left off. My passion for diving is sincere. I look forward to fully investing myself in the sport and applying a rigorous academic background (100% AP/Advanced course load) at the next level before moving onto a career in the medical sciences field.
